It is with great pride that we present the first edition of IRA – Insights and Research in Academia, the official research e-journal of the Institute of Language Teaching (ILT), Rajkot. This inaugural volume arrives at a significant moment when teacher education and research culture in India are undergoing transformative change. Rooted in the 125-year educational legacy of the Shree Saurashtra High School Trust, the Institute of Language Teaching continues to uphold excellence, inclusivity, and the values of Indian Knowledge Systems while preparing educators who serve as reflective practitioners and compassionate nation-builders.

IRA has been envisioned as a vibrant academic platform that brings together researchers, educators, practitioners, and emerging scholars across disciplines. The journal seeks to harmonize the spirit of insight—deep reflection and meaningful understanding—with the rigor of research grounded in scientific method and academic integrity. IRA welcomes diverse scholarly contributions, encouraging dialogue on innovative pedagogies, interdisciplinary inquiry, curriculum design, digital learning, and classroom practices that shape contemporary educational landscapes.

This first issue is a testament to the dedication of the Shree Saurashtra High School Trust, ILT’s faculty, administrative staff, and the IRA Editorial Board whose commitment, peer-review expertise, and academic vision have shaped this publication. I express heartfelt gratitude to all contributing authors and fondly remember Dr. B. K. Passi, Dr. R. S. Khan(former Vice-Chairman NCTE) , and Dr. Bhadrayu Vachhrajani, whose mentorship has guided my academic journey.
